Royal Tern — Peace Valley Park, Bucks County on September 29, 2004. Photo by Thomas Ford-Hutchinson. This photo shows the orange bill, the white forehead, and the black line leading from the eye to the ‘crest’ at the back of the head. Also note the band on the bird’s leg, which revealed that the bird was banded as a hatchling near Kure beach, North Carolina on June 25, 2004. This bird represents the 1st record for Bucks County and one of only a handful of records for Pennsylvania.
