First Round Votes
6/16/2013 14:51 Cameron Rutt Class IV-B – insufficient evidence for evaluation. The lack of hard evidence in this report makes it difficult to confidently conclude that the bird in question is a jaeger, although I have no doubt that is what the observer was looking at. For instance, there isn’t a single mention of the white primary bases to the underwings, an important field mark for Stercorarius species. Flight style and impressions of shape are important in jaeger identification, but these criteria should be assessed in concert with extensive (when available) plumage notes.
6/9/2013 4:35 Dave DeReamus Class III – Sight record documented by one observer.
4/18/2013 20:06 Drew Weber Class III – Sight record documented by one observer.
4/19/2013 20:38 Mike Fialkovich Class III – Sight record documented by one observer.
9/23/2013 23:37 Devich Farbotnik Class IV-A – record is probably correct, but not beyond reasonable doubt.
10/2/2013 14:45 Mike Lanzone Class III – Sight record documented by one observer.
10/12/2013 18:49 Ben Coulter Class III – Sight record documented by one observer.
