One in flight over Plymouth Meeting, Montgomery 28 August 2011 following the passage of Hurricane Irene. (Chris Dooley (p); 075-01-2011; Class III). This report was originally submitted as a Magnificent Frigatebird. That identification was not accepted 1/6 but accepted as Frigatebird species 7/0. This bird was photographed by the stunned observer using a phone camera as he was walking across a shopping center parking lot. The photo shows an obvious soaring frigatebird but is too distant to show enough detail to eliminate other frigatebird species that have occurred in North America.
