Sinnemahoning State Park

Return to PSO Home Page

DESCRIPTION: This 1.910-acre park surrounds the 1470-acre George B. Stevenson Reservoir and almost 6 miles of the Sinnemahoning Creek. In addition to the conifer plantations, there are wet brushy fields and mixed oak woodlands. Bald Eagle nest here and Cliff Swallow nest on the dam. The variety of habitats makes it an interesting location for migrant passerines. The lake also attracts migrant waterfowl.

DIRECTIONS: From PA 120/PA 872 in the village of Jericho (between Renovo and Emporium) go north on PA 372 for 7.5 miles to the park. PA 372 runs the length of the park and there are several parking/recreation areas for access as well as pull-offs along the road wherever the habitat looks interesting.
