Bradford Sewage Ponds

Return to PSO Home Page

DESCRIPTION: Three ponds, with one pond visible easily from the road. In August when the ponds are drawn down, shorebirds use the site frequently. Birding can be done from the road or from the driveway.
Shorebirds and waterfowl frequent this site. When the ponds are drawn down and mud is exposed in August it is one of the only sites in McKean County for shorebirds. Swallows also feed over the ponds.

DIRECTIONS: From Bradford, go north on US 219 and exit at the Foster Brook exit. Go west on Bolivar Drive to the light. Turn north on Seaward Avenue. Go 0.65 mile to the ponds on the right.
