Return to PSO Home Page

DESCRIPTION: This area is a reliable spot in winter for Short-eared Owl and Northern Harrier, and in summer for grassland species such as Bobolink, Eastern Meadowlark, and sparrows. In winter, dawn and dusk are the best times to look for the owls.

DIRECTIONS: From the intersection of US 6 and PA 14 in Troy, go north on PA 14 for 5.9 miles and turn left (west) on Coryland Road. Go 1.3 miles and turn left on Wolf Hollow Road. Go about 1.8 miles to where extensive fields are on both sides of the road. The next half-mile to Baptist Hill Road is the area to check.
