DESCRIPTION: A 20-acre sanctuary along the Monocacy Creek in Bethlehem. Trails lead to a pond about 3/4 of a mile from the parking lot, passing through streamside woodland and along wooded hillsides.
This small area attracts a surprising variety of birds. The sanctuary birdlist includes 185 species including Marsh Wren, Bobolink, and a Hammond's Flycatcher in 2000.

DIRECTIONS: From the intersection of US 22 and PA 512, take PA 512 (Center St.) south for 1.6 miles to Illick's Mill Road. Turn right onto Illick's Mill Road and go 0.1 mile to the parking lot on the left. The trail begins at the south end of the lot and goes south along the creek.
