Description: This is the trail now famous for the Redwing found in February 2005. The edge near the American Kestrel box on a pole has been a good migrant spot for years particularly in fall for sparrows and other shrub birds. It is a good spot for Lincoln's Sparrow. An Orange-crowned Warbler found the goldenrod to its liking a few years ago providing a nice fall show. A fall Lark Sparrow stopped here a couple of years ago and Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow has been seen here, too. A new feeder was erected recently adding to the interest of this site. This area has breeding Willow Flycatcher, Field Sparrow, Indigo Bunting, and has had Yellow-breasted Chat. |
