DESCRIPTION: After passing back under I-80, continue north on River Road for 5.4 miles to the entrance on the right. There is a large brown park service sign marking the spot. Smithfield Beach is a popular swim beach and recreation area from Memorial to Labor Day. This location is best avoided between these times.
