DESCRIPTION: This trail provides a woodland edge walk adjacent to an abandoned farm field. American Kestrel nested in a box here and Indigo Bunting, Eastern Bluebird, Tree Swallow, and Field Sparrow are regular breeders. Grasshopper Sparrow has nested in this field in the past. The east end of the field near the private tree nursery has been home to Blue Grosbeak on more than one occasion. If you want closer access to this area rather than walking from the Solar Building, you can enter Chapman Road from the Ferry Road side and park in the lot before the chain across the road. This also provides close access to the next spot.
