DESCRIPTION: In addition to species already mentioned at other trails, Wood Thrush, Scarlet Tanager ,and Eastern Wood Pewee can usually be heard here in summer. Spring migrating Northern Waterthrush and Swainson's and Gray-cheeked thrushes can also be found regularly here. Hooded, Cerulean, Worm-eating, and Kentucky warbler migrants, are rare here and have been seen in these woods. The new section of the Bike and Hike Trail now borders the edge of this woodland for those preferring an easier walk and adds some field habitat as well to your walk.
