Directions: To include the spring in your circuit of Lake Ontelaunee, turn right onto PA 662 from Church Hill Road and go about 1.4 mile until you see the pond and golf course on the left. Park on the shoulder (a much used pull-off is evident) and scan. Afterward, turn around and proceed back along PA 662 to Lake Road on the left to resume the Lake Ontelaunee circuit.
Description: The spring fed pond at this site never freezes and has held many species of waterfowl over the years, especially in winters when other waters freeze. It is especially noted for wintering Gadwall, but worth checking for other waterfowl and herons.
