Description: The middle section of Conneaut Marsh is particularly suited to canoeing. A round-trip of 5.5 miles from Geneva Bridge to Mud Pike and back will take you through extensive areas of emergent marsh and swamp forest. The channel of the Conneaut Outlet provides the major water route through this area. This is easy paddling; only a slight current is present, but several low beaver dams must be skirted. This trip is detailed in the Conneaut Marsh Canoe Trip-Geneva Dike Area Outing Guide published by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. |
