Pymatuning Area
Ford Island and Waterfowl Museum

Directions:  Continue south on Hartstown Road for 0.9 mile and turn left (east) into Ford Island. The parking lot area is a good spot to locate Brown Thrasher, Yellow-breasted Chat, Indigo Bunting, Yellow Warbler, Red-bellied Woodpecker, an occasional Northern Mockingbird, and Cedar Waxwing. In the pines south of the museum a Great Homed Owl is often seen. There is a fine hiking trail from the museum back to the parking lot. From the front of the Museum you can get a good look at Double-crested Cormorant, nesting Bald Eagle, and a vast view of the refuge area.
