Directions:  From the West End Circle in Pittsburgh take PA 51 North (Carson Street) towards McKees Rocks. Drive 1.9 miles to the traffic light just past the bridge over Chartiers Creek. Turn right onto River Road and cross the railroad tracks. Continue 0.2 miles and park on the right just beyond the marina. This site provides a good view of Brunot Island and the river. People feed the ducks and geese here and, when present, the gulls. This was the most consistent site for Ring-billed Gull in winter.
