Description: This camping area on the Allegheny River near Youngsville is an excellent place to see migrating warblers and riparian species such as Yellow-throated, Cerulean, and Parula warblers and Yellow-throated Vireo. There is a trail which leads along the river, adjoining Irvine Run and Brokenstraw Creek. Green Heron and Pileated Woodpecker nest nearby. Red-tailed Hawk and Great Horned Owl nest in the surrounding hills. |
