Directions: From US 6 in Ludlow take Forest Road 133 south. Signs along FR 133 help direct you into the site. There are two interpretive trails near the parking area on the loop road. They go through typical sections of the virgin forest. |

Description: Birds found here include Barred Owl, Pileated Woodpecker, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Cooper's Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk, Brown Creeper, and Wild Turkey. In 1985 a tornado swept through part of this area and can be viewed from the parking area. Winter Wren, Mourning Warbler, and White-throated Sparrow have been found nesting in the regenerating vegetation. |
