Wolf Narrows
Butler
DESCRIPTION: A wooded trail running in a loop along the Wolf Creek, with some farm fields nearby. The trail starts along the creek with edge habitat and eventually moves away from the creek deeper into the woods before looping back to the creek. This is a good site for warblers, flycatchers, and other migrants and summer residents. Warblers include Blue- and Golden-winged, Cerulean, Blackburnian warblers, and Louisiana Waterthrush. Both cuckoo species have been recorded here. Least, Acadian, and Great-crested flycatchers can also be found along the creek. Winter is not entirely barren, as Snow Buntings have also been recorded at this site.

DIRECTIONS: From I-79, take exit 105 (PA 108) and head east towards Slippery Rock on PA 108 for 3.2 miles. Turn left onto Arrowhead Drive and follow that for 0.5 miles to Miller Road. Turn left onto Miller Road and continue 0.9 miles. Parking is on the left just past the metal grate bridge. The trail leads off to the north from the east side of the bridge.
