Creekside Nature Trail at Menno Haven

DESCRIPTION: Flood plain meadow along the Conococheague Creek behind Menno Haven Retirement Communities, Scotland Ave, Chambersburg. Mixed habitat adjoining the Concococheague Creek. Mature woods along the creek with great edge habitat and open wooded meadow reverting back to woods. Great for spring and fall migration. Follow the mowed paths along the creek and in the meadow. Migrating warblers, vireos, sparrows, etc in spring & fall.

DIRECTIONS: From intersection US 30W and US 11 in Chambersburg US 11 North 1.7 miles and turn right on Roland Avenue. Go 0.5 mile and turn left on Scotland Avenue. Go 0.3 mile (past Faust Junior High) and turn left just after the Menno Haven Business office. At the stop sign, turn left onto Village Parkway and follow around to the back of all the buildings where you can park at the pavillion. Walk down the service road away from the development to get to the mowed trails in the wooded meadow.
