Royersford Road Pond (Lakeview Shopping Center Pond)
Montgomery
DESCRIPTION: This is a small lake, with a fair amount of open water surrounded by phragmites and cattails. Though it is a small lake, this body of water provides habitat for several species of waterfowl in season, including Canvasback, American Coot, and Mallards. Others, such as Brant and Cackling Goose have been noted there in the past, while Peregrine Falcons have been known to hunt the waterfowl.

DIRECTIONS: Located just behind the Lakeview Shopping Center off the Royersford exit of US 422. From the Royersford exit of US 422, go southwest on South Township Line Road for about 0.2 mile and turn right on 10th Avenue (this is just past the shopping center on the right). Go 0.24 mile (cross Royersford Road) and turn right on Lakeview Drive. Then make an immediate right into the parking lot. Walk across the street to the sidewalk in front of the pond, where there is a clear view for scopes or binoculars. Because the pond is relatively small, binoculars are usually enough to view the entirety of the water, though a scope may make viewing easier.
