DESCRIPTION: The prime attraction here is a small shrub-lined pond that attracts waterfowl, especially geese. In the past the site has hosted Greater White-fronted Goose and numerous Cackling Geese among the large flocks of migrant Canadas. |
DIRECTIONS: From the intersection of US 422 and PA 743 in Hershey, go north on PA 743 for 0.7 mile and continue straight on Sand Beach Rodd. Go 0.4 mile and turn right on Crystal Drive. Go less than 0.1 mile and turn right into the parking lot. The pond is just down the hill in front of the parking lot. Also check the fields between Front St. and the Sand Beach Rd./ Hershey Park Drive intersection for feeding geese.
