Beulah Land (SGL 68)

DESCRIPTION: The area called Beulah Land located in SGL 68 offers grassland and waterfowl habitat surrounded by high plateau forest. The area viewable from the parking area and overlook is good for nesting Bobolink and Savannah Sparrow while the surrounding woodlands often harbor Red-shouldered Hawk that often hunt in the area. The small impoundment can produce migratory waterfowl, mainly puddle ducks, if there is open water available.

DIRECTIONS: From PA 44/PA 414 just north of Waterville, go north on PA 414 for 5.7 miles and turn right (North) on Truman Run Road. Go 6 miles and turn left (west) on Barrens Road. Go 2.7 miles and turn right (north) on Beulah Land Road and go 0.1 mile to the parking area on the left. Most of the area can be viewed from the parking area.
