DESCRIPTION: Rocky Ridge is a York County Park, and as such has picnic tables and recreational facilities for children. It also has a 20' X 20' platform jutting over the North Lookout, which is where almost all of the hawks are seen on NW, N, NE, and E winds. |
DIRECTIONS: From US 30 and PA 24, go north on PA 24 for 1.39 miles and turn right on Deininger Road. Proceed 1.2 miles to a dead-end parking lot. On SE, S, and SW winds most flights pass to the south and are seen from the Oak Timber area parking lot.
