DIRECTIONS: From I-81 and PA 309, take PA 309 North (Cross Valley Expressway) to Exit 2 (Center City). From the exit ramp, turn left onto Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. At the fifth traffic light turn right onto East Market Street. Take Market Street half-way around Public Square so that when you leave the Square you are still on Market Street. Go across the Market Street Bridge over the Susquehanna River and immediately (before the traffic light) turn right toward Reilly's Classic Cars. Drive over the levee, park in the parking area, and walk beneath the bridge. Follow the trails through the meadow and toward the woods. Birding is best along the trails farther back in the forest.
