DESCRIPTION: This pond, easily viewed from the roadside gets migrant shorebirds and waterfowl. Some of the rarities seen here include Trumpeter Swan, Eared Grebe, Black-necked Stilt, Long-billed Dowitcher, Wilson's Phalarope, Black Tern, Common Tern, Eurasian Collared-Dove, Dickcissel, Yellow-headed Blackbird. It is one of the most reliable sites in PA for American Golden-Plover in fall migration (and has occurred in spring too). |
DIRECTIONS: From US 322/PA 934, go west 1.9 miles and turn right (North) on Mt Pleasant Road. Go 0.9 mile to pond on the right.
Or from US 322/Pa 117 go east 2.6 miles and turn left (North) on Mt Pleasant Road. Go 0.9 mile to pond on the right.
