Amish Area near New Castle - Lawrence County
Lawrence
DESCRIPTION: Cotton Road is the only place in Lawrence County to find Cliff Swallow. Look for their nests on some of the barns. Upland Sandpiper had been found with young on Heather Heights and Cotton Road for two decades but they have not been seen for several years. Shorebirds can be found in the wet fields and at some puddles in the plowed fields in spring.

Go 1.5 miles and turn right (east) on Yoder Road which returns to PA 18 after 0.8 mile. Look for Red-headed Woodpecker on Cranberry and Yoder Roads.
