State Game Lands 211 (Piketown Access)
Dauphin
DESCRIPTION: Shrub habitat along the trail borders deep mature forest that often holds numerous wood warblers. Wetlands and stream habitat can also hold a number of surprises, as can the vernal pools to the side of the trail.

DIRECTIONS: From the west: North of Harrisburg, from US 322, take the PA 443 exit and go northeast on PA 443 for 8.3 miles and turn left on the entrance (0.1 mile past Pine Tree Ave). From the east: From I-81, take Exit 80 and go north on Bow Creek Road for 1.3 miles and turn left on PA 443. Go 5.6 miles to the entrance road on the right (0.54 mile past Piketown Road). The parking area is less than 0.1 mile up this road on the left. From the parking lot, a steep trail first descends to Fishing Creek, taking in streamside habitat, and then ascends to the top of a ridge with shrubs and forest habitat until the top. From there, follow the trail along the crest of the ridge, passing multiple vernal pools and food-plot herbaceous openings.
