DESCRIPTION: This State Game Land follows the Enlow Fork Creek for about 4.5 miles through excellent riparian habitat. Orchard Oriole are abundant, Cerulean and Yellow-throated warblers sing from the treetops, Acadian Flycatcher perch just above the stream, and Louisiana Waterthrush hunt the stream banks. It is also a good area for looking for migrant passerines. |
DIRECTIONS: From PA 21/PA 18 just west of Rogersville, go west on PA 21 for 10.6 miles and turn right onto Nebo Ridge Road. Go 2.8 miles and turn right onto Walker Hill Road and go 0.3 mile to Smokey Row Road. Turn left and go 1.2 miles to the first parking lot or 1.4 mile to the main parking lot. Walk west on the SGL road. The first 1.5 miles will yield all of the above species and much, much more.
