This photo was taken on September 6th. Two other photos of this bird (one from the 5th and one from the 6th) can be found on Geoff Malosh’s website.
This male in breeding plumage was found near the Martins Creek PPL power plant by Mike Schall. Note the chestnut underparts, dirty white face patch, and short, thick yellow bill with a black tip. This bird represents the 1st Northampton County record.
