Species of note: Mute Swan (V), Ring-necked Duck (L), King Rail (R), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (L). Comments: The PA record has fallen, exactly 10 years to the day the last was established at 157. This PA Big Day has been run for 8 years, with the route being refined annually. This year we had a few migrants, and the route carried us to the record. Another reason that we did well was the holdover of winter species. It is clear, however, that if we had had a really good migrant day, we could have seen 175+ species. | |||||||||||||
