| 198.5 Miles by car, 2 miles by foot. Visiting: Struble Lake, Hibernia CP, Octoraro Lake, Embreville Wetlands. Species of note: Eastern phoebe (L). It is interesting to note that there was a female King eider, (a first county record for Chester County) along my route at the time of the count. The bird was on a sewage pond in a private gated community. Although I did see the bird earlier in the week, ticking it on count day would mean setting up a “prearranged field encounter” or “Appointment” which of course is not allowed under ABA Big Day rules. | |||||
