Join birding enthusiasts from across the state at the 2025 PSO Birding Festival in Lehigh County, September 26 – 28, 2025. Registration opens on July 1st at 8 am. The Festival is the best place to enjoy great birding trips, learn from experts, and meet or re-connect with birding friends. This year we’ll be gathering at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Allentown Lehigh Valley; our 34th gathering will be the first in Lehigh County.

The Lehigh Valley is a unique region – as the third most populous metropolitan area in the state it features many of resources of larger cities yet is situated between the mountainous wilderness of the Kittatinny Ridge and Pocono Plateau and the open farmland to the west. This means there are a diversity of habitats and great birding opportunities within a short drive, and wonderful businesses, ornithologists, and conservation groups located in the region who will be featured in this year’s impressive line-up of field trips, speakers, and vendors. Choose from 14 field trip destinations visiting 8 counties, led by knowledgeable local guides. Saturday afternoon’s session includes presentations to be determined. The Vendors will include art, optics, apparel, and conservation non-profits.

The Friday agenda includes PSO’s annual meeting, which includes updates on PSO initiatives and the election of directors and officers.
